UNF Associated Builders and Contractors Student Chapter exists to teach UNF Construction Management Students or other construction-related degree programs about the commercial construction industries. ABC helps with mentoring, teaching, networking, and allowing for the future leaders of the construction industry to become more knowledgeable about the construction industry. ABC student chapter members learn through a variety of industry associations and school events, including regular membership meetings, guest speakers, internship opportunities, community service projects, fundraisers, career events, job site tours, and other activities. In the spring, the club will compete in the ABC Construction Management Competition which provides an opportunity to experience an actual project that exhibits unique characteristics and issues. The competition focuses on estimating, project management, scheduling, quality control, safety, as well as written and presentation skills.
