The mission of BSN at UNF student-led organization is to be a safe, brave space of belonging, fellowship, community, and celebration for African American nursing students and UNF students interested in admission to the UNF nursing program as they navigate challenges unique to them during their nursing school journey and pursuit of a career in nursing.

Membership Benefits
Membership provides students with opportunities to connect with fellow nursing students, access mentorship and academic guidance, and engage in activities that promote cultural awareness and enrichment. Members can also develop leadership skills, gain greater insight into the nursing profession, and build both personal and professional confidence. Through these opportunities, the organization supports students throughout their nursing education by encouraging academic success, fostering a sense of community, and helping students stay engaged and on track toward graduation.

Mission
Our mission is to serve the citizens of Duval County by providing additional trained manpower to the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department (JFRD) at community events and within its stations. We aim to create meaningful opportunities for University of North Florida students to obtain CPR certifications, gain hands-on experience in emergency medicine, and develop the skills necessary to pursue careers in healthcare and public safety.

In the future, we hope to expand our partnership with JFRD and the University of North Florida Police Department (UNFPD) to provide medical standby services at additional university and community events. Through these efforts, we seek to strengthen the connection between students, emergency services, and the community while helping prepare the next generation of healthcare and emergency medical professionals.

Membership Benefits
Members will have access to free CPR refreshers and continuing education opportunities that can count toward maintaining their existing EMT, EMR, Paramedic, and RN certifications in Florida and nationally. Members will also have opportunities to gain hands-on experience at Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department (JFRD) stations, participate in certification courses offered by JFRD, and work behind the scenes at Jacksonville Jaguars games and other major events.

These opportunities allow members to build valuable professional experience, network with JFRD leadership and healthcare professionals, and establish connections that can support their future careers in emergency medicine, fire rescue, nursing, and other healthcare fields.

Non-certified members will have the opportunity to receive training and become certified as Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs). This provides members with an entry-level healthcare certification they can use to gain clinical and emergency-response experience, serve their community, and build a strong foundation while pursuing higher-level certifications such as EMT or Paramedic.

UNF Advertising Club is to connect not only communication students to one another but also acts as a resource for students branching out into the advertising industry. Sometimes interacting with other students or overall being involved in your university can lead to alumni taking an interest in you for potential job opportunities. The main goal behind this club is to connect students who are both on-campus and distance learning then giving them opportunities to better themselves and make friends within their degree. UNF Advertising Club is the place to be if you’re not too sure about the School of Communication, specifically advertising. Most of your classes are distance learning, so now is the time to get to know your classmates in person and even have a little bit of fun while you’re at it! Not only does this connect you with classmates, but it could also connect you with people of higher or lower grades. This connection can give you someone to ask about your experience in UNF or even pass along your advice to incoming students.

Our mission for Aérien is to provide students with an opportunity to learn Korean dance,
participate in on-campus performances, and create a community for those interested in
Korean pop/learning Korean pop dance. We encourage members to be able to show self-expression through dance and their love/passion for Korean pop music.

Students will have the opportunity to learn more about how to do K-pop dance choreography in a group setting and get the opportunity to perform these dances for other members, school events, etc. Additionally, we aim to teach more about K-pop music as a whole and help create a community and safe space for others to come together to share a common interest.
